Birthday Mail

Dsc01987_2

I sold my first library bag (YAY!!!) to the lovely Carra for her lovely Adele. I sent some goodies with the bag for the birthday girl. I found the amazing vintage snowsuit at an estate sale a while back and was just hoping to find a little girl who could wear it. It still has the tags! I also found the mushroom dress at Vintage Baby I love the colors and the fabric. Of course I had to include a book, one of my all time faves The Little House. If you haven't read it you must, it is beautifully written with amazing illustrations.

Thank You Carra!

How To Drop Bomb

What the...?

I don't know how many of you have read about it but J.K.R. says that Dumbledore is gay.

Here is a excerpt from the aol article:

She was asked by one young fan whether Dumbledore finds "true love."

"Dumbledore is gay," the author responded to gasps and applause.

She then explained that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards. "Falling in love can blind us to an extent," Rowling said of Dumbledore's feelings, adding that Dumbledore was "horribly, terribly let down."

Dumbledore's love, she observed, was his "great tragedy."

Excused Absence

I have to apologize for my extended absence, school takes up a lot of time when you are actually applying yourself. Being an average student in High School and a "scraping by on the skin of my teeth" student the first time I tried to go to College, I didn't realize this. I've been trying to make all A's to bring up my overall GPA so that when I go to Illinois State I can get on-campus housing for me and Tony. As of my 8 week progress report I have 1 A+, 3 A'S, and a B+. Not to bad, I think I may have one of those teachers who doesn't give A's for English so I'll try to be content with my B+. I'm the costume chief for the fall play, I don't get a head dress but it's kept me busy.

In preschool news, it's been tough. He did really well the first day but wanted nothing to do with it after that. The past 3 school days have been awesome, he didn't even cry when I left! He's been talking more and having fun. The ladies love him and they jockey for a seat next to him.

No craftiness to speak of, I'm sewing one piece for the play but I haven't touched my sewing machine other wise. Spoon's The Underdog is my favorite song of the moment, Heroes and Pushing Daisies are keeping me entertained.

I sold my first Library bag to the lovely Carra and Adele YAY!!!

I'm sorry if I haven't gotten to chat with anybody lately but I'd love it if you send me an email or a comment and let me know what's up with you!
