So, I'm trying to be super frugal becuase I want to pay off my bills before I start school (or my dream with ashley!) And we've been taking advantage of the free entertainment around here. This weekend is the steam train rides, while we can't afford the $140 tickets we can afford to watch because it is free! But Tony did try to pay for the trip with spare change and my cut up credit card. We could hear the trains all week and it was torture for him because we didn't know where they were pulling in at but we found it on one of our daily/nightly wagon rides! These trips are happening until sunday so we have something to do every morning/evening!
SIDENOTE: Now that the weather is cooler I busted out the wagon because pulling the wagon is more sweaty work than pushing a stroller

When I was little I was all about my big wheel it was my fave thing. I wasn't really all that into to driving it around outside, I liked to take it into the air conditioned house down in the basement, flip it over and spin the wheels. Somehow this was me pretending to make ice cream. I don't know who I saw making ice cream like this but whatev. I'm sure Tony was imagining something more awesome, like actually riding Uncle Ben's bike someday...
My brother has come to stay with us for the summer and Tony and I have really enjoyed the company. Tony is happy to find someone to roughhouse with because apparently it's not one of my skills. I have enjoyed having someone to converse with. If you have siblings you know that no one enjoys your stories as much as they do, even when your stories are kinda lame.
I had my beautiful niece for a few hours today. Without Tony it was just two redheads on a girls day out. Her momma put her in the dress I made her for her birthday so we had to have a photo shoot:
And because this post is so pink I had to include pics of Tony in his pink swim diapers:
I didn't know they were pink when I got them but Tony is secure enough in his masculinty to wear these diapers
My dad always said, "We're redheads and redheads stick together." It always made me feel special that I was the only redhead besides him in our family because it was something we shared.
My dad has taken such good care of me and Tony. In the last few months he has really come through over and over again. too many times to count. and I know he always will. It makes me so happy to know that because of my dad, Tony will always have a dad he can count on. We love you dad.
Even though summer doesn't officially begin until wednesday we started early. way early. and this week we set up the enormous pool I bought Tony for his birthday (this months parent magazine has an article called drowning danger and now I don't even want to put him in the pool)
and lots of sandbox time. Wherever Tony goes Moses follows and the sandbox is their favorite hangout. Mostly Tony pours sand on the dog and laughs.
