MIA

So I'm not backing out on my promise to be more post-y, I just have to work this week which means I'm living at someone elses house and taking care of them this week. Only minimal crafting going on in the evenings and I'll post about it next week.

Waitress

Let me just leave you with this: if Waitress is playing anywhere near you, a 6-hour drive isn't too much to ask, SEE IT. It is the best movie I have seen since Stranger Than Fiction. I loved it som much I didn't even care that it was playing at our "cheap seats" that usually makes you want to bathe when you leave. I didn't even mind that an elderly lady stood up brushing my left cheek with her entire backside and then let one rip right on my face. It was that good.

Okay I totally minded about that last part but I got a pretty good story out of it right?

Look for posts next week!

For the love of technology?

Every wednesday night for the next 12 + weeks I have a date with the wonder that is Project Runway. It seriously makes my heart beat faster just saying the name. Season 3 Yay!!!

News of my other multimedia loves, I am all about these three movies I saw recently:

Shpgirl

Pride_and_prejudice

Junebug

Shopgirl: Litlle disturbing seeing Claire Danes naked and getting it on with Steve Martin but you cant go wrong with Jason Schwartzman.

Pride and Prejudice: I usually hate Keira Knightly, I don't know why but her mouth bugs me, but she was really amazing in this movie. Donald Sutherland was hilarious and so was her creepy cousin. in a creepy way

Junebug: Love everything. great story, funny lines, and interesting characters. This movie gave me my current music obsession:

Yo_la_tengo

currently sewing a gift with this as my soundtrack: mmm lovely. Sidenote they will be playing at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago July 29, 30 I want to go soooo bad, and my one friend who entertains my whims can't come because she is working, so you should come with me whoever is reading this

okay my sidenote is over

next on my cd player:

Pixies

If you let a mouse watch fight club..

she'll want to listen to the pixies...

and if she listens to the pixies...

she'll want to make something...

and if she makes something...

the needle on her sewing machine might break off in her thumb...

and if her thumb is hurting she'll want to relax and watch a movie...

like fight club.

Can you tell what book Tony and I have been reading?

And in book news:

my sister bought me Anne Tyler's newest for mother's day:

Digging_to_america

not my fave by her but still excellent. Now I only have 6 left and I'll have read all her works.

Cars

Cars

I think my first post on typepad was about me taking tony to see Wallace and Gromits in the movie theatre and how it didn't really work out. Well today was his first official "sit down and watch the whole thing" movie. It actually went extremely well, and all the toys I had bought him pre-release have become his favorites!

Tonycars

Walk the Line

Walkthelinepuba

Yay! I finally got to see "Walk the Line" today!

I must say it was one of the best movied I've seen in a while. Such a romantic story. I must say that Ginnifer Goodwin was truly beautiful in this movie and did a great job. Most of all I love June Carter's clothes. Joaquin did an excellent job acting and singing but he's still no Johnny Cash

Harry Potter

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

aaahh what a relief I have been waiting to see this movie for forever. Goblet of Fire was my favorite book, although Half Blood Prince might just be my new fave. I couldn't wait for the graveyard scene with the dome!!! I was sitting forward in my seat. May I just say that Raiph Fines makes the scariest bad guy ever.

Me and my sister went to the midnight show on the 17th. I put the tonester to bed in his own crib for the first time in months and he did really well, of course this ment I only got 4 hours of sleep! I foolishly thought it would be pretty empty but the high school kids didn't have school the following day so it was packed with annoying children who wish to be adults talking loudly about meaningless things when the fourth year of Hogwarts is about to playout before our very eyes. There were some technical difficulties as there always were when you really really really want to see a movie but they were quickly resolved. and my sister had to scare some kids into shutting up.

at first i was a little upset with the interpretation but i was pleased with the ending. there were huge holes in the whole thing but i just love daniel radcliff.

in honor of this movie and the harsh midwestern winters i made dress robes from a halloween patter and some comfy fleece. everyone in the fam likes to tease and i can't wear them in public, but i just love them. and i promise i am not someone who camps out and dresses up for like star wars or middle earth. i just love harry potter, i want to post a pic of my robes but it is nighttime and my camera can't handle the flash to well so i will have to post later. go see this movie!

tomorrow Walk the Line!!!!!!!!1

Better Luck next time

So I tried to take Tony to his first movie in the movie theatre http://www.wallaceandgromit.com/fla/wg.html The Curse of the Were rabbit. He lasted about 40 minutes which is good for the busiest seventeen month old on the planet. He really liked the movie theatre though. so we ended up walking around for a good ten minutes before he found the arcade and started freaking out. Nontheless I saved the stub for his baby book.
