Birthday Mail

I sold my first library bag (YAY!!!) to the lovely Carra for her lovely Adele. I sent some goodies with the bag for the birthday girl. I found the amazing vintage snowsuit at an estate sale a while back and was just hoping to find a little girl who could wear it. It still has the tags! I also found the mushroom dress at Vintage Baby I love the colors and the fabric. Of course I had to include a book, one of my all time faves The Little House. If you haven't read it you must, it is beautifully written with amazing illustrations.

Thank You Carra!

My fab friends birthday is tomorrow. I tried to get her gift done in time so that it would arrive in the mail on or before her birthday, but the postmaster said it wouldn't get there until wednesday.

A nappy bag for someone who doesn't have to change diapers. I shrunk the size down to a "large purse" size. Ashley has been into nautical things for quite awhile so this bag is a lot of little things I have picked up with her in mind. The fabric was a steal and too amazing to leave at the store. It sat in my craft room for a long time, screaming at me to give it ashley. The embroidery is from a nautical clipart book that I traced. The anchor buttons I picked up and the big blue one I got when I was at her house a few weeks ago. We went to one of those thrift stores that make you want to take a bath when you get home and the lady had oodles of big vintage buttons.I was feeling a little Santino-ish so I braided the loop for the button.

Tony's Art Museum

Handmade gifts are my favorite, for Tony's birthday my fabulously talented friend rose gave us one of her creations. She knew how much I wanted some orignal artwork for Tony's room and she really outdid herself. I think she is planning a whole series and she really needs to make prints because she is amazing. She is an amazing mother, friend, and artist. Thank you so much rose.

My mother also created an original masterpiece for Tony on the sidewalk
